When traveling with an MAI Tour, everything from airlines, lodging, food, tours, tickets, arrangements, entertainment, etc...is done for you by expert planners with years of experience. There's no guesswork or stress in worrying about accommodations or coordinating activities. All of that is meticulously done beforehand and the planning is taken care of by the MAI team! Plus, students are getting to participate and perform in a quality musical ensemble with live performances in 5 countries!
Actually, because of pre-planning and group rates, an MAI Tour is often discounted and much less expensive than trying to plan all lodging, meals, and activities individually. Plus, everything is planned in great detail beforehand by highly experienced staff in order to make the tour as seamless as possible.
Yes! Once you are enrolled in an MAI Tour you will have access to monthly newsletters with valuable information regarding important sites, culture, itineraries, packing, international travel tips, and much, much more. As departure nears, there will be a live, in-person meeting at a pre-determined site to go over final details and answer any questions. Plus, MAI staff are always available via email or through the website to answer questions along the way!
All rehearsals and concert preparations will be held at a designated local high school. There will be a pre-Camp a few weeks prior to the tour where students will receive their music and have their first rehearsal. Then, 3 days prior to departure, we will host Home Camp which consists of full day rehearsals culminating in a Bon Voyage Concert for all families and friends as the excitement builds for the tour! Final packing and instructions are covered on these important days and then we are off for our 16 days adventure!
